What is looping?

Looping is a practice where students and teacher stay together for two years.  Looping benefits students, families, and teachers in the following ways:

   * Classroom community is strong & almost family-like

   * Trust is developed and supported-families & the teacher work as a team.

   * Collaboration is high.

   * Learning begins right away the second year because the teacher knows where students ended the previous year.

   * More meaningful relationship are built between students and the teacher.

   * Students have less anxiety about starting the new year.
